Now taking applications for Youth Tour to Washington DC
On June 7-14, 2018, Bon Homme Yankton Electric will sponsor one high school sophomore or junior on a week-long trip to Washington, D.C., with the Rural Electric Youth Tour. More than 30 students from South Dakota will team up with more than 1,700 students from around the nation. Past participants have described this trip as a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The all-expenses-paid trip includes transportation, room and board, entertainment and sight-seeing events. Students are asked to provide their own personal spending money for items such as snacks and souvenirs.

Students will also get a behind-the-scenes view of the work of the state’s congressional delegation. Getting students involved in the lawmaking process is important.
